Confluent's Partnership With IMPACT
The Pacific Alliance
The Pacific Alliance was launched in 2011, with Chile, Colombia, Peru and Mexico as the founding members. These four countries are the most dynamic in the region, representing more than 40 percent of Latin America’s economy with a market of more than 210 million people—more than one-third of the region’s population.
The IMPACT Program
IMPACT is an exciting program that assists manufacturers in increasing exports. It is a 3-year initiative partially funded through the U.S. Dept. of Commerce Market Development Cooperator Program and focuses on manufacturers who supply the construction and infrastructure industry.
The program prepares companies to enter this market through a variety of mechanisms tailored to their needs. As a partner in the program, Confluent Translations will provide up to 4 pages of Spanish translation. Additional supporting services provided by other entities will encompass orientation to the Pacific Alliance markets with hands-on assistance; matchmaking with agents, distributors or direct purchasers through a trade mission (coordinated in partnership with the US Commercial Service Gold Key service); attending a major industry trade show during the trade mission; interpretation and group transportation services and impact sales follow-up.
IMPACT is run through the Duquesne University Small Business Development Center. For more information on this program go to http://www.sbdc.duq.edu/impact
